About
Azi (Azadeh) Khastoo is a User Experience Designer and Photographer with over ten years of experience, who believes in the power of creation and problem solving. Azi started as a photographer aiming towards social issues e.g immigration and education, in addition, she helped small businesses build their brand and online presence e.g website, app, print material. Her love for creation, problem solving skills, and caring nature was the motivation for her to expand to user experience design.
Having a natural ability to think and visualize outside the box; connecting details that don’t come forth at first glance has always been Azi’s unique quality for innovative solutions to problems. Working with a variety of companies and organizations such as Yahoo, Calumet photographic, Crate & Barrel, FTD (Florists’ Transworld Delivery), Neiman Marcus. and University of Chicago Women Business Alliance, taught her successful communication based on empathy for the users, and the importance of information Architect and prototyping. She was able to use this knowledge to come up with strategic planning and user research for her small business clients.
Azi holds a Bachelor of Fine Art from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago and has her User Experience Design certification from Springboard.
